FilmKode was born from a production challenge that had no simple off-the-shelf answer.

Wesley leveraged his extensive expertise to develop a system to deliver on the project - and introduced an entirely new concept to the market. That first job became the foundation for FilmKode — now owned and led by Wesley Armes-Mather — and shaped the way we still work today: bespoke technology, built around the needs of production.

The next major production was Industry Season 1, where the system grew from tablets into a much larger screen workflow, powering around 300 computer monitors, televisions, tablets and mobile phones across the shoot.

From there, FilmKode continued to grow around the needs of modern production. Each job brought new creative opportunities: more screens, more devices, live feeds, prop phones, laptops, monitor walls, interactive apps, and more ambitious ways to make digital content feel real in front of the camera.

Today, FilmKode creates bespoke screen technology for film, television, commercials, live events and brand activations. We design, build and support the phones, tablets, computers, live video systems and interactive screens used on camera and behind the scenes.

Everything we use is built in-house and shaped by real production experience. Our tools have grown from the practical needs of set: screens that need to look right through the lens, respond naturally to actors, reset cleanly between takes, follow continuity and change at the right moment in the scene.

That level of detail is where FilmKode lives.
